Posts on this topic will be featured on our website throughout October and November. The UN's aim with this goal is to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. In this focus issue we'll be highlighting AI work relating to these topics. In this series, our planned content includes an article by Andres Perez-Uribe and Louis Reymondin on AI tools for assessing zero-deforestation commitments, coverage of the use of machine learning to track the illegal wildlife trade, studies of crops and land use, interviews, and more.

Posts on this topic will be featured on our website throughout April. The aim of this UN SDG is to: "Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development." This includes topics such as reducing marine pollution, protecting and restoring ecosystems, reducing ocean acidification, and sustainable fishing. In our issue, among other things, we'll be reporting on research which uses convolutional neural networks to identify floating marine litter from aerial images.

Posts on this topic will be featured on our website throughout March. We will be covering two aspects to education. Secondly, the use of AI methods to improve education generally. All levels of education will be considered, from schools to University level, from the general public to industry and professional development.

The impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale. Many machine learning experts have been turning their attention to the problem.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our focus series on AI for Good: UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). Each month we will pick a different sustainable development goal (SDG) and highlight work in that area. For this first issue we will be publishing a series of articles on SDG number three: "good health and well-being". There are numerous examples of AI usage in healthcare.
